for recovery

      those in need

the SOUL

Offering the gift of recovery to others where the concept is foreign.

What if we offered healthy images to show that healing from addiction is possible and that treatment works? What if people were willing to share their experience, strength and hope for recovery in places where it does not seem possible?

Build a Bridge

Our Outreach team in Bosnia and Herzegovina needs your help with experience, strength, and hope.  Volunteer or make your contribution now.

We are visionaries on the front lines of social change.  Bridge Builders World Wide is a vocal advocate for substance abuse recovery and treatment, reduction of HIV/AIDS and PTSD stigma and discrimination.  We will travel to every corner of the globe to help addicts, alcoholics, and families in need.

BBWW works with networks of people who use drugs and service providers to ensure continuity in programs, education, and treatment, care, and support services for people who use drugs.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people will not feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone and as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

Recovery isn't seasonal, which is why Bridge Builders World Wide encourages committed individuals to apply as volunteers within all levels of our organization whenever possible.

Creating Opportunities for Voluntary Recovery Treatment

BBWW believes that drug use prevention, treatment and rehabilitation programs are effective when they respond to the needs of a community, involve all the relevant sectors and are based on scientific evidence, and are sensitive to cultural and social traditions of the community.  Our programs intent is to encourage communities to address drug use and drug addiction by implementing drug use prevention solutions and providing drug dependence treatment and care services in accordance with scientific evidence and ethical standards.
